Physical DescriptionAn off-white hand-knitted neck scarf with a repetitive pattern of decorative squares and with fringed ends. Embroidered in light blue thread on one end of the scarf: FDR.
Historical NoteThis needlework muffler was sent to Franklin Roosevelt in early 1942 as a birthday gift by the maker, Mrs. J. Tyszka of Akron, Ohio.

Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt on February 28, 1942. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
