Physical DescriptionA walking stick with a mottled finish and a knob head made of bone decorated with a ring of 13 inlaid stars. A string strap is threaded through a hole near top of the stick, and a piece of thin fabric is wrapped around the stick just above the hole.
The walking stick comes with an old fabric tag on which is handwritten note that states: “This stick belonged to the great WASHINGTON and was presented by him to Jérôme Bonaparte who gave it to Admiral Bergerette. It was by him bequeathed to Sir John Doveton whose widow gave it to her nephew Sir Charles Russell."
