Three areas of the boot are circled – the upper, heel, and sole – with accompanying text instructing when particular types of damage to the boot need to be addressed. Above and below the boot is text that states: “GET 'EM FIXED In Time! / – AVOIDS FOOT TROUBLES / – SAVES GOOD SHOES.” The upper section of the poster also has a small illustration of a U.S. Army officer pointing to the boot of a soldier.

At the bottom of the poster are the names and logos of the U.S. Army Conservation Program “SAVE” and the “OFFICE OF THE QUARTERMASTER GENERAL.” Additional small text in the bottom margin reads: “ARMY CONSERVATION PROJECT NO. 77-Q-29 / U. S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE : 1944-O-583195."

Printed on the reverse side of the poster are instructions for posting and distribution.
