Artist for the California Art Project, Federal Art Project, Works Progress Administration. Lewis was a lithographer studied with William M. Chase in Carmel in summer 1914, at the CSFA and CCAC. In 1939 she was a resident of San Francisco at 1090 Page Street. (Hughes, Artists in California, 1989.) Biography in Seaton (2005) indicates Lewis was in the San Francisco FAP from September 1938 until late 1942.
