Ben Shahn is remembered today as a painter, muralist, and graphic artist. He also left a legacy as a photograoher for the New Deal's famed Farm Security Administration (FSA) photo unit. Shahn created murals and posters for the Federal Art Project and other federal agencies during the Great Depression. He worked for the Office of War Information from 1942-1943.
