Kneeland "Ruzzie" L’Amoureaux Green

American, 1892 - 1956
Kneeland L’Amoureaux Green adopted the nickname “Ruzzie” while attending the Art Students League in New York. He worked an illustrator and, later, as art director for the Stehle Silk Corporation and "Harper’s Bazaar." In 1932, Green turned to commercial photography. Though relatively unknown today, he was among the most prominent commercial photographers of his generation. His work appeared in national magazines and advertisements for corporate clients.
