A self-taught artist, Alex Ross was a highly-sought commercial illustrator who created cover art and illustrations for "Collier’s," "The Saturday Evening Post," "Ladies' Home Journal," "Good Housekeeping," and other national magazines. He was also known for his advertising work and book illustrations.
