The Bundles for Britain initiative was started in 1940 by Natalie Wales Latham out of a New York City storefront and focused on making and sending knitted goods to Britain during World War II. The program quickly grew to an organization with 975 branches that collected cash contributions and donations of clothing, blankets, and other basic necessities for the British people.
