DescriptionA black and white poster promoting wartime discretion. On the left side of a white background is an illustration of a man’s head with an Air Force garrison cap on his head and his right hand raised in front of his mouth in a shushing motion. On the right side is an illustration of Adolf Hitler’s head showing him biting the nails on his right hand in a nervous manner. Above the portrait illustrations is the message “SHHH!!” which is an acronym for “SILENCE HELPS HAUNT HITLER!!” The artist’s facsimile signature is in the lower right corner of the illustration: MILTON CANIFF.
