DescriptionA red, white, and blue poster promoting U.S. Navy recruitment. The poster features a head and shoulders illustration of a U.S. Navy sailor in uniform, partially turned towards the right, against a backdrop of the American flag. The artist’s name is printed just below the image: “JOHN FALTER USNR.” Above the illustration is the request to “REMEMBER LAST DECEMBER!” in blue. Below the illustration is the quote, “. . ‘that free peoples may not perish from this earth’”in red. Across the bottom of the poster is a blue band with white text that reads: “ENLIST IN YOUR NAVY TODAY.”

The poster was issued by the U.S. Navy Recruiting Bureau, order no. 13, poster no. NRB—34125—11-6-42—37,500.
