DescriptionA small, bronze-colored head and shoulders bust of Franklin D. Roosevelt with a painted green finish that simulates a patina. FDR's head is turned slightly to the right and he is shown wearing a suit jacket, shirt, and tie. Inscribed on the reverse of the bust is text that reads: © G D REPLICA OF THE BUST ERECTED BY ILGWU AT FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT LIBRARY HYDE PARK, N.Y.
Label TextThis bust of FDR by Gleb Derujinsky was presented to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library and Museum in May 1957 by David Dubinsky, President of the International Ladies Garment Workers' Union ( ILGWU). It is a miniature version of the sculpture erected on the grounds of the Roosevelt Library and Museum in 1947 by the ILGWU (MO 1947.80.1).
