DescriptionA license plate used during the January 20, 1941 presidential inauguration of Franklin D. Roosevelt in Washington, DC. The white license plate has a blue border and blue raised text that reads: INAUGURAL / 100 / 1941 / DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. Flanking the text is a raised blue image of the United States Capitol dome on the left, and a red, white, and blue stars and stripes shield on the right.
Label TextThis license plate was used on a Cadillac automobile during FDR's third inauguration which took place in Washington, DC on January 20, 1941. The number of the plate - 100 - indicates the license plate was most likely issued to a senator, congressman, or high government official or dignitary. Customarily, the presidential limousine would have used inaugural license plate number 1.Additional Details
