DescriptionA Chinese watercolor painting on pith paper showing two white birds with red and black accents pecking at the ground. Near the birds are flowering ground plants with pink and orange blooms.

The painting is adhered to a larger piece of silk gauze and mounted within a window mat.
Label TextThis painting is one in a collection of twenty-seven individual Chinese watercolors (MO 1979.50.1-27) featuring birds, fish, and landscape scenes. The collection is housed in a custom clamshell box on the spine of which is embossed, "F. D. R. / CHINESE RICE PAPER PAINTINGS."
