DescriptionA gilt metal miniature model of the horse-drawn coronation coach used by British royalty. The coach, which has functioning wheels, is being pulled by four horses, two of which are being ridden by postilions.

The model comes in its original two-piece cardboard box. On the lid of the box is an illustration of the model and text that reads: MINIATURE CORONATION COACH / Manufactured In London, / England by / W. Britain / Trade Mark Reg. No. 459993 / No. 1478. CORONATION COACH. The retailer's name and address is stamped in purple on the underside of the box lid: CHARLES MORRELL / 50, BURLINGTON ARCADE, / PICCADILLY, W.1.
Label TextThis model of the British coronation coach was given to Franklin D. Roosevelt by Virginia Livingston Hunt of Washington, DC along with a note that reads: A funny little souvenir from a journey to which your kindness added no end of pleasure.
