DescriptionA small bronze front-facing head of Franklin D. Roosevelt with a green patina. The head is mounted on a cube-shaped marble base. The artist's name is inscribed on the reverse of the head: Jo DAVIDSON · WASH · 1934 ©.
Label TextAt the end of 1933 and the beginning of 1934, Franklin Roosevelt sat several times for sculptor Jo Davidson at the White House. This bust is a miniature version of the resulting bronze bust of FDR completed by Davidson in 1934.
