Spent shell casings litter the ground below him. Red and black text, on a yellow background, at the top and bottom of the poster reads: MILES OF HELL / to Tokyo! / WORK WHERE / YOU'RE NEEDED / CONSULT YOUR U.S EMPLOYMENT SERVICE OFFICE / WAR MANPOWER COMMISSION. The artwork is by Amos Sewel. Additional small text in the bottom margin reads: U.S. Government Printing Office: 1945-O-646461. On the reverse of the poster is mailing information from the War Manpower Commission (WMC).
