DescriptionA red, white, and blue crocheted 48-star American flag with crocheted stars (one has separated). A gold-colored crocheted cord, with a white crocheted decorative piece and a gold-colored tassel on either end, is attached along the flag's left edge. The letters "U" and "S" are crocheted in gold at the center of the decorative pieces.
Stitched to the reverse of the flag is a light piece of fabric on which is a handwritten ink message that reads: Victory / is ours __ if you and you and you / will it. Nothing we at home / may do can Equal the hard- / ships and sacrifices of our / boys in uniform. Let us be / worthy of them – and of / Victory. / YOLA V. BUCK / BOX 214 R.F.D. – A / Cloverdale / California / May 5 - / 1942.
