DescriptionA color poster encouraging enlistment in the U.S. Army or Navy. The poster features an illustration of a rough wooden wall inside a construction shed. Seen through a window in the wall is the in-progress construction of a steel frame for a building. Nailed to the interior wall of the shed is a poster with the message: “CONSTRUCTION WORKERS! / NOW YOU CAN VOLUNTEER FOR SERVICE WITH THE ARMY OR NAVY / WORK AND FIGHT WITH THE NAVY SEABEES [corresponding Navy and Army logos] ARMY ENGINEERS". The poster also includes information on Voluntary Induction vs Voluntary Enlistment based on age. The unknown artist’s facsimile initials are found at the bottom of the illustration: “M.R.” Printed below the illustration: “APPLY AT ANY ARMY OR NAVY RECRUITING STATION.”
