DescriptionA World War II Allied leaders commemorative dish. The rounded, bowl-like off-white glazed ceramic dish has handles on both sides and gilt trim. At the center are sepia portrait illustrations of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill with text under each respective portrait: FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT / PRESIDENT, U.S.A. and RT. HON. WINSTON CHURCHILL / PRIME MINISTER, GT. BRITAIN. Above the portraits is a sepia illustration of the British and American flags, staffs crossed, flanked by a flower design. On the underside is the gilt number 5966, along with the manufacturer’s information printed in blue: ROYAL WINTON / GRIMWADES / MADE IN / ENGLAND.
