DescriptionA pair of white, Imperial Danby marble bookends with ogee profiles. The underside of each bookend is lined with white felt.
Label TextThe marble used for these bookends is from the identical stock of Vermont Imperial Danby marble used to construct the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC. The bookends were sent to Franklin Roosevelt on January 30, 1942 by Congressman Charles A. Plumley of Vermont.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt on February 25, 1942. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
