DescriptionA Korean brass (Bangjja or yugi) "Sukkara" spoon with a wide, shallow, rounded bowl and a long, thin handle. Stamped on the back of the handle is a mark and the text: MADE IN KOREA.
Label TextThis spoon, along with a pair of chopsticks (see MO 1942.332.2-3), was given to President Franklin Roosevelt by Mr. Kilsoo K. Haan, the Washington Representative of the Sino-Korean Peoples' League.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt on June 4, 1942. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
