DescriptionA small black and white lithographic print of the USS ADAMS. The image depicts a single screw, wooden-hull, bark-rigged steamer at full sail on open water. The name of the artist is in the lower right corner of the image: J. O. DAVISON. The title of the lithograph is printed below the image: U. S. SLOOP OF WAR "ADAMS." The print is adhered to a slightly larger piece of white cardboard.
Label TextThis image of the USS ADAMS (1874-1919) appeared as an illustration in the 1888 book, "Modern Ships of War," by Edward J. Reed.
