Descriptiona) A small, 14k gold lapel stud. At the center is an American eagle with spread wings, fronted by a patriotic shield. Encircling the eagle is the inscription: REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR. The maker's information is stamped on the reverse: BENNO BASCH / WASHINGTON, DC / 14K.

b) A removable screw shank for the lapel stud.
Label TextThis lapel stud was presented to President Roosevelt by the maker, Benno Basch.

Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt on August 6, 1943. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
