OBVERSE: Left-facing high relief profile of the head of FDR with the artist's name below: "P. MANSHIP ©. The profile is encircled by a two-line inscription: FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT 31ST PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES / 1933 1937 JOHN NANCE GARNER VICE-PRESIDENT.
REVERSE: An image of the ship USS CONSTITUTION, and an angel below it, encircled by the inscription: THOU TOO SAIL ON O SHIP OF STATE SAIL ON O UNION STRONG AND GREAT.
The medal is part of a set of five inaugural medals with a custom storage box (MO 2010.10.12a-f).
