DescriptionA black and white print of a pencil drawing of Franklin D. Roosevelt. The head and shoulders portrait shows FDR, partially turned, wearing a dark suit and tie and a white shirt. The artist's facsimile signature is to the lower right of the portrait image: Perskie / Copyright. Printed to the lower left of the portrait: FRANKLIN / DELANO / ROOSEVELT / 1932. Below the image is an original handwritten ink inscription by FDR that reads: For my friend Miss Stella Aiken / from Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The print is matted, framed, and glazed in a 1" black wood frame.
Label TextThis portrait of FDR by Jacob Harrison Perskie was used as the official campaign poster image by the Democratic National Committee in 1932. Stella Aitken, to whom FDR dedicated this print, was a prominent Savannah attorney and an important supporter of the Democratic Party in Georgia.
