Descriptiona) An oval inkstand made of white and rose agate. A pen trough is routed across the front of the base. Mounted on the base is a copper alloy patented black ink vessel with plastic decorative edge and brass bands. Also mounted to the base is a hinged pen holder that swivels. Adhered to the side of the base is the maker's label: Sengbusch. The underside of the base is lined with brown felt on which is an adhesive sticker with the patent information.

b) A Bakelite pen that sits in the inkstand's pen holder (a). The maker's information is on the nib and also etched on side of pen: DIPADAY / U.S. PAT. 1767189.
