DescriptionA wooden model of a typical Chinese junk schooner. The ship is stained brown, has lug sails with battens running all the way across, long oars, a high poop, and overhanging stern. The sails are unfurled. The model rests unfixed on a cradle that is mounted to a wooden base.
Label TextThe model was presented to Roosevelt by his aunt, Dora D. Forbes, who lived in China for many years.
