DescriptionA doily embroidered by Eleanor Roosevelt. The round white linen doily has a scalloped, white-embroidered edge. Embroidered in the center of the doily are five purple and white violets - three grouped together and two individually - with green stems and foliage.
Label TextUpon presenting this needlework doily to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library in 1948, Mrs. Eleanor stated it was made "many years ago."
