DescriptionA needlework sampler featuring cross stitched quotations. Red text on a white, hemstitched piece of fabric reads: TO BEGIN THE DAY / WITH AN OPINION / IS TO BE A TRAITOR / TO THE FUTURE / CHRISTOPHER MORLEY / ----------- / AS ARTEMUS WARD / SO SAGELY OBSERVED / --IT'S BETTER NOT TO / KNOW SO MUCH - THAN / TO KNOW SO MUCH / THAT AIN'T SO!" A blue, cross stitched patterned border runs down both sides, and a blue, cross stitched duck is at the bottom.
On the reverse of the sampler is a heart with "F.D.R. 1937" inside it. Also on the reverse is an adhesive sticker with a handwritten number: D-28-70.
