DescriptionA jugate bandana from the campaign of William Jennings Bryan and Arthur Sewall. The white bandana has a blue border decorated with a scroll, vine, and circle design. At the center of the bandana are oval illustrated portraits of Bryan (left) and Sewall (right), each within a patriotic stars and stripes shield, and against a backdrop of crossed flags with the image of a coin at the cross point. Black text above and below the portraits reads: FREE COINAGE / 1896 / TARIFF FOR / REVENUE ONLY / 16 TO 1 / FOR PRESIDENT / WILLIAM J. BRYAN OF NEBRASKA / FOR VICE PRESIDENT / ARTHUR SEWALL OF MAINE.
