DescriptionA round pinback button from Adlai Stevenson's campaign. The button consists of three horizontal bands in red, white, and blue. Printed on the bands is white and blue text that reads: AMERICA / NEEDS / STEVENSON. The manufacturer's information is printed along the rim of the button.
Label TextAdlai Stevenson was the Democratic Party’s unsuccessful presidential candidate in 1952 and 1956. Eleanor Roosevelt helped Stevenson secure the Democratic Presidential nomination for both years. She wore this button during the 1956 presidential campaign.
