DescriptionAn oblong pinback button from Adlai Stevenson's campaign. Large white letters on a dark blue background read: ADLAI. The manufacturer's information and a union bug are printed along the bottom rim of the button.
Label TextAdlai Stevenson was the Democratic Party’s unsuccessful presidential candidate in 1952 and 1956. Eleanor Roosevelt helped Stevenson secure the Democratic Presidential nomination for both years. She can be seen wearing this button on August 13, 1956 at the Democratic National Convention.
