DescriptionA small working replica of the Liberty Bell that both swings and rings. Raised wording on the front and back of the bell reads: “PROCLAIM LIBERTY / THROUGHOUT ALL THE LAND / UNTO ALL THE / INHABITANTS THEREOF /PASS AND STOW / PHILADA / MDCCLIII.” The manufacturer's mark is on the interior of the bell: "J.I. HOUCK / POTTSTOWN, PA." The replica is mounted to a wooden base. Adhered to the front of the base is a small gold-colored metal plaque with an inscription that states: "THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA / PAYS TRIBUTE TO / PRESIDENT AND MRS. FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT / WHO DEVOTED THEIR LIVES / TO SAFEGUARDING MAN'S GREATEST POSSESSION, / LIBERTY / MAY 30, 1963."
