Label TextPresident Roosevelt used this easel-style schedule holder on his Oval Office desk from 1933 until 1945. It displayed a typed record of his daily appointments. It contains a facsimile of his calendar for March 29, 1945, the last day he sat at the desk. Shortly after FDR's death, his personal secretary, Grace Tully, gave the holder to presidential adviser and speechwriter, Judge Samuel I. Rosenman, with a note that read: "I thought you might like to have in your possession this engagement pad which stood on the President's desk since he first came to Washington in 1933." In 1968, Judge Rosenman donated the schedule holder to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library and Museum. It is on display in the FDR’S OVAL OFFICE DESK exhibit in the Museum’s APRIL 12, 1945 gallery.
