DescriptionA small, elliptical silver bowl. Each side of the bowl has a stepped design stamped into it, possibly representing Inca pyramids. Attached to each end of the bowl is a small silver medallion with the image of an Inca god.
Stamped on the underside of the bowl are silver and maker's marks: STERLING / OPAISA / PERU / 925.
Label TextThis bowl was given to Eleanor Roosevelt by her personal physician and friend, Dr. A. David Gurewitsch, in August 1962, just a few months before her death. Mrs. Roosevelt kept the bowl in her East 74th Street apartment in New York City.Stamped on the underside of the bowl are silver and maker's marks: STERLING / OPAISA / PERU / 925.
