BiographyElliot Roosevelt was the fourth child of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, and their second surviving son. During World War II, Elliott served as a distinguished combat pilot and unit commander in the US Army Air Corps, and was an aide to his father at the Atlantic, Casablanca, and Cairo-Teheran Conferences. Following the war, he had an active career in business, and for a time served as Eleanor Roosevelt's business partner and communications manager. He also became an author and family biographer.
