DescriptionA French language poster promoting inter-American solidarity during World War II. At the center of the poster is a large color photographic image from November 1943 of the U.S. Navy battleship USS COLORADO (BB-45) on open water, artillery firing from the big guns at the aft. French text in black on yellow bands above and below the image reads: "LES GRANDS CANONS PARLENT / Avant l’invasion terrestre les canons d’un vaisseau de guerre des États-Unis vomissent des tonnes de mitraille vers les défenses de l’ennemi.”
