DescriptionA Portuguese language poster promoting inter-American solidarity during World War II. At the center of the poster is a large color photographic image from November 1943 of the U.S. Navy battleship USS COLORADO (BB-45) on open water, artillery firing from the big guns at the aft. Portuguese text in black on yellow bands above and below the image reads: "OS GRANDES CANHÕES COMEÇARAM A TROAR / Os canhões de uma belonave dos Estado Unidos vomitam, em preparação à invasão das forcąs de terra, toneladas de projéteis contra as defesas inimigas.”
