Physical DescriptionA black, white, and blue poster for the "NAVY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM / ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS" series. On the left side of the poster is a black and white photographic image of a Motor Torpedo Boat (PT17) on open water with the quote "We are Ready Now!" in the lower right corner. The right side of the poster has a printed illustration of a PT boat and text that reads, "MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE / the Basic Requirements for all technical work," followed by a printed letter from United States Navy Rear Admiral Randall Jacobs, Chief of Naval Personnel, stating the purpose of the poster series is to acquaint America's youth "with certain desired basic educational qualifications as an aid to them in increasing their proficiency in the armed services and industry."
The poster was printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office, poster no. 1942-O-483080.
