Physical DescriptionAn original black and white cartoon featuring Franklin D. Roosevelt's Scottish terrier dog, Fala. The cartoon is of an outdoor scene with Fala conversing through an iron fence with a kangaroo and her joey. The artist's signature is in the upper right corner of the cartoon: ALAN FOSTER. The caption is typed on a slip of paper once adhered below the cartoon (and now separate): "How's everything down under?" The cartoon sheet has several publication notes written in blue.

On the reverse of the cartoon sheet are additional publication notes and a blue ink stamped Liberty magazine form with handwritten pencil information filled in: LIBERTY ART DEPT. / MACFADDEN PUBLICATIONS, INC. / SUBJ. FALA / ISSUE AUG - 29th - 1942 / PAGE 58 / INSERT No. [blank].
Historical NoteIn 1942, American illustrator and cartoonist Alan Foster created a series of cartoons, titled "Fala," for Liberty magazine. This cartoon appeared in the August 29, 1942 issue of Liberty.
