Physical DescriptionA black, white, and blue poster for the "NAVY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM / ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS" series.
On the poster are three black and white photographic images: "Instruction of Electicians [sic] Mates"; "Class in Radio"; and "Diesel Engine Class." At the center of the poster, on a white background, is a printed illustration of submarine, text that reads, "MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE / the Basic Requirements for all technical work," and a printed letter from United States Navy Rear Admiral Randall Jacobs, Chief of Naval Personnel, stating the purpose of the poster series is to acquaint America's youth "with certain desired basic educational qualifications as an aid to them in increasing their proficiency in the armed services and industry."
