DescriptionA Chinese watercolor painting on pith paper showing two birds perched on a low flowering bush with pink flowers. One of the birds is multicolored with vivid colors and a long tail, while the other bird is muted shades of brown with a few blue and green accents.

The painting is adhered to a larger piece of silk gauze and mounted within a window mat.
Label TextThis painting is one in a collection of twenty-seven individual Chinese watercolors (MO 1979.50.1-27) featuring birds, fish, and landscape scenes. The collection is housed in a custom clamshell box on the spine of which is embossed, "F. D. R. / CHINESE RICE PAPER PAINTINGS."
