Physical DescriptionA black leather desk pad with padded cushions (running vertically on each side) covered in a red, blue, green, and cream flower and leaf patterned fabric. The underside of the desk pad is lined with black felt. There is no maker's mark.
Inserted in the desk pad is a large removable sheet of blue blotter paper.
Historical NoteThis desk pad is part of a four-piece set (MO 1990.7.7a-d) used on the desk in Eleanor Roosevelt's bedroom in her 74th Street apartment in New York City.Inserted in the desk pad is a large removable sheet of blue blotter paper.
